Voltage Balancer for LiPo Batteries
The Cavalier EQ has an internal individual cell voltage balancer so there is no need for a separate balancer when charging LiPo battery packs. -
Delta-Peak Sensitivity
The automatic charge-termination program works on the principle of the Delta-peak voltage detection. -
Capacity Limit:
The charging capacity is always calculated by multiplying the charging current by the charge time. If the charging capacity exceeds the limit, the process will be terminated automatically when you set the maximum value. -
Temperature Limit :
The battery temperature will rise while charging because of its internal chemical reaction .If you set the temperature limit, the charging process will be terminated when the limit has been reached. This function requires the use of the optional Temperature Sensor. -
Processing Time Limit:
You can also restrict the maximum process time to help protect against possible defects in the battery pack. -
Input Power Monitor:
When using a 12v car battery as the input power, the charger will monitor its voltage and shut off if the voltage from the car battery becomes too low. This is to protect against your car battery being over-discharged and not having enough power to start your car. -
High-Power and High-Performance Circuit:
The Cavalier EQ employs a circuit that has a maximum output power of 50W. As a result, it can charge up to 14 NiCd/NiMH cells and a series of 5 LiPo batteries with a maximum current of 5.0A. The current will be automatically reduced if the 50W limit is exceeded.

Did you know that most battery manufacturers of NiCd and NiMH cells skip the last and very important manufacturing step? This step is called the “FORMING CHARGE” and completes the chemical processes within the battery. It takes 24 hours and cannot be rushed. That makes it expensive and ties up a lot of manufacturing capacity so it is usually skipped and left up to the consumer.
FORMING also assures that each cell in a pack starts off completely full so it can add the most to the battery cell “team effort”. Without FORMING, a new NiCd or NiMH battery may only achieve 40% to 50% of it’s rated capacity initially, and may never reach it’s full potential.
Why fly like that? Before, you were just out of luck! Now......
The new Sirius Pro Former by Peak Electronics is especially designed to properly FORM new NiCd and NiMH cells from 10 mAh to 5,500 mAh. Just attach a 12 volt supply, select your battery capacity and plug in your 1 to 8 cell battery pack. After 24 hours, your new pack will be completely formed and ready for 3 to 5 fast charge cycles. It will then be capable of achieving all the performance the manufacturer designed in, but didn’t take the time to build in.

- Number of Cells – 1 to 8
- Battery Capacity – 100 to 5550 mAh
- Output Current – 25 to 400 mA in 8 ranges, continuous rating

Ah yes, but is Sirius Charge really safe?
Yes, it is. Using a conventional slow (overnight) charger will usually give you a battery lifespan of 300 to 500 charge cycles. Conventional "delta-V" fast chargers can shorten that to about half, because of overcharge, temperature rise, and pressure buildup.
The advanced techniques used by Sirius Charge Quad will actually extend battery life. If you use only Sirius Charge, you can extend your battery life to over 2000 cycles! That's over 20 years of flying for the average flyer! -

If you fly Lithium batteries... Now you can charge them quickly, safely, and reliably.
Here is the first fast charger designed especially to SAFELY fast charge those Lithium batteries in your bird.
How fast? Sirius Charge Lithium can take a Lithium pack from nearly dead to 70% full in the first hour, or completely full in about 2.5 hours. Charge when you get home from flying. Unlike Nickel Cadmium and Nickel Metal Hydride which self discharge on the shelf, Lithium batteries do not. When you are ready to fly again, so are your batteries. It's completely safe, because the digital computers will deliver only enough time programmed energy to charge your batteries exactly full; no more, no less. Every time you fly, your batteries will be ready to deliver Peak Performance. And, you just can't beat Peaked batteries for top performance and best reliability.
You say you want a safe charger? Sirius Charge Lithium was originally designed specifically to charge Lithium batteries safely and quickly. It's simple...and safe. Automatically detects the number of cells and condition of your battery and turns off if there is a problem. You can't hook anything backwards with our goof-proof circuits. We built the Lithium with dual fault-tolerant computers, double regulation, and precision power electronics. Then we put it in a cast aluminum case to protect it from the elements. Now it can withstand 140 degree temperatures, shrug off being tripped over or stepped on, ignore generator voltage surges, and still work correctly, every time.
- Our RPC™ charging technique improves charge acceptance, and significantly extends the life span of Lithium batteries.
- Sirius Charge Lithium has safety features to prevent battery damage from charging the wrong number of cells.
- Sirius Charge Lithium is “GOOF PROOF”. You cannot harm the charger OR your batteries by plugging anything in backwards!
